I wonder how you are filling your days as we self isolate? I have heard so many people talking about doing the gardening, cleaning the house, exercise with Joe Wicks and so on. All to help people feel better about having to stay in and there’s nothing wrong with that. But there has to be something more than these things surely? As I was having my quiet time this morning I was reading the last verse in Hosea and the last verse said this:

‘May those who are wise understand what is written here, and may they take it to heart. The Lord’s ways are right and righteous people live by following them, but sinners stumble and fall because they ignore them.’

I found this really encouraging as so often when life is normal and busy we find it difficult to see where God is because we don’t have the time to really sit and ponder God’s word through reading the bible. So this time of isolation has a plus side or a silver lining if you like because we now have time to read God’s holy word to really think about what it’s saying and how that can impact our lives. When we let him in as we ponder the words and pray over them, let’s be open to Jesus and all he has for us both individually and corporately as a church.

When he speaks in to your heart please share that with us.

Praying for you all as we go through this time together.
